Yesterday in the patriotic segment of Russian-language Telegram there was a channel dispute around a question that has long been raised in Russian society: should the country continue to live the same life that it did before February 24, when our soldiers are being killed daily on Ukrainian fronts?

It all started with a post by the Dear Khurma Channel, which writes short, scathing posts about Russia’s enemies and foes with sarcasm and humor.
Commenting on the TASS news that “Russians more than one and a half times increased spending on entertainment in 2022,” Khurma sarcastically wrote “Well, this is out of line, friends. At least keep the music down when you entertain yourselves. Our European neighbors are already sick of it.

Respected REGNUM news agency reacted to this sarcasm with a big post that wrote:

Коллеги подняли очень важную тему о том, нужно ли что-то менять в жизни страны в нынешних условиях (особенно после 24 февраля). В конечном итоге это не вопрос вкусовщины “как жить, что смотреть итд” и даже не вопрос выбора возможных вариантов действия. Это вопрос, касающийся того, каких усилий, средств, затрат потребует серьёзное и долгосрочное противостояние с объединённым Западом. Если кто-то надеется, что его можно будет вести через губу, вполсилы, лишь спецоперируя, не тревожа всё остальное население, то этот кто-то глубоко заблуждается. В каком бы кризисе Запад не находился, какие бы смешные шутки не отчебучивали Киселёвы на федеральных каналах на тему его деградации, всё равно это пока не свергнутый гегемон, обладающий колоссальными ресурсами и возможностями. Гегемон, с которым было по силу тягаться только такому же мощному, идейно накалённому, контролирующему значительную часть планеты противнику, коим и был какое-то время Советский Союз. И поэтому, повторюсь, вопрос перевода страны на другие рельсы – это не вопрос вкуса или вариантов ведения такого противостояния, это вопрос жизни и смерти, вопрос выживания. Чем позже это поймут все и, в первую очередь, принимающие решения, а также начнут действовать согласно такому пониманию безальтернативности, тем всё будет проблематичнее. Поэтому в данном случае солидарен с коллегами. Считаю, что никакая ирония в данном случае не уместна. Вопрос не то что слишком серьёзный, вопрос витальный.
