The Czech Republic, which heads the EU Council this semester, is convening an emergency meeting of EU energy ministers. At the meeting, Prague proposes to discuss the operation of the common energy market. “Together with the European Commission, we are currently finalizing and presenting possible measures. Then we will discuss them at the extraordinary council of ministers, which I will convene as chairman,” said Josef Sikela, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.
The Czech minister did not disclose a complete list of proposals, but he said that one of the measures could be the establishment of a ceiling price for energy at the European level.
